Birth Academy

Birth Academy is an educational platform dedicated to providing comprehensive courses for families and birth workers. Our mission is to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to support birthing families effectively, whether you are a new parent or a birth worker.

We started with our Birth Assistant Training Program, which offers flexible, online learning tailored for those who want to support midwives and doctors during homebirths and at birth centers. This course covers essential skills such as taking vital signs, assisting during emergencies, and understanding labor hormones. It also includes hands-on training that can be completed with our instructor, Erin Kershaw or a midwife near you, ensuring practical, real-world experience.

But Birth Academy is more than just a single course. We are expanding our offerings to include a homebirth-focused childbirth preparation class, breastfeeding education, and future courses on cloth diapering, babywearing, and elimination communication. Each course is crafted to provide practical, respectful, and empowering education to support families and birth workers.
